A standout moment ingrained in fans' memories is the clash between India and Pakistan during the 2022 T20 World Cup at the iconic MCG. Virat Kohli's indelible six off Haris Rauf not only illuminated Indian fans globally but also served as a perfect Diwali gift. Kohli, living up to his reputation as the chase master, successfully accomplished a challenging task in that memorable encounter.

Pakistan set a target of 159 in 20 overs, fueled by impressive fifties from Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed. India's initial batting struggles left them at 31/4 within 6.1 overs. However, Kohli and Hardik Pandya forged a crucial partnership, steering the innings back on course. Despite a demanding required rate, Kohli showcased his brilliance by smashing two remarkable sixes off Haris Rauf, keeping India in contention.

"I have seen this a lot of times, but these small things in the middle, these are very special because obviously, you have lived these moments but you haven't seen them again. Just those little moments are something that I'm very, you know, I feel very nostalgic about, and in a good way. You know what you did, and that moment got captured in some way and someone has seen it," Virat Kohli said while talking to Star Sports on 'Believe: The Diwali Miracle' show.

The No. 3 batter also credited higher powers at play when he hit the 'Shot of the Century'. He said "You realize this in a moment. If anyone came up to me and said when I was 10 that at 35, I would be here if anyone claimed that they knew what was going to happen in writing and signed it, I would have given them everything. If they knew what my 25-year journey would be, that it happened to have reached here, that is a larger package, it is a compressed version. I didn't know what was going to happen and how it happened. It just happened; I can't sit here and claim it. That is a larger package and that is an injustice to what I felt that night, I can never forget it in my life. Never. And that is the reason people who saw it felt the same thing. It wasn't like someone said it or claimed it; the moment had purity, and everyone felt it".
