In the 14th match of the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023, both Australia and Sri Lanka, each grappling with two consecutive losses, met in a pivotal contest. Despite Sri Lanka's promising start to their innings, Australia soon gained the upper hand, and wickets began to tumble, ultimately leading to the Asian Lions' dismissal for a total of 209 runs in 43.3 overs.

However, amidst this cricketing action, players had to contend with Lucknow's unpredictable weather, which encompassed scorching sunlight, unexpected rain, and a vigorous wind storm.

Until the 32.1st over, the weather appeared good, with the sun bathing the pitch, players, and fans at the stadium. Suddenly, a surprising rain shower, seemingly out of clear skies, forced players off the field, and covers were brought on. David Warner was seen assisting the ground staff in this unforeseen weather disruption.

Once the covers were removed, Sri Lanka continued to struggle as wickets fell in rapid succession. A brief respite was granted again as after the 42nd over, an impending storm approached with strong gusty winds, causing fans to seek shelter. The game was paused once more until the storm abated.

Regarding the match, Sri Lanka's wicket tumble began at 125 and concluded at 209. Aside from the opening batsmen, none of the Sri Lankan players delivered a noteworthy performance. Australia, desperate for a win, appeared to be in a strong position to secure victory in these challenging conditions.
