After securing five medals on the opening day of the Asian Games 2023, India continued their impressive performance on Day 2. India currently has 11 medals (2 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze).

India is 5th on the medals tally after the women's cricket team secured the 2nd gold medal.

With more events to come later in the day, India will hope to add more medals to their tally.

Wushu: Vikrant Baliyan of India suffered a 1-2 defeat to Indonesia's Samuel Marbun in the men's 65kg pre-quarterfinals.

Boxing: Nishant Dev of India emerged victorious in the 71kg category Round of 32 bout, defeating Dipesh Lama from Nepal 5:0.

Swimming: The Indian quartet consisting of Aryan, Aneesh, Kushagra, and Tanish secured the seventh position in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay final, completing the race with a time of 7:29.23.

Swimming: Likith Selvaraj of India completed the men's 100m breaststroke final in the seventh position, recording a time of 1:01.62.

Wushu: India's Surya Bhanu Partap beats Islombek Khaydarov of Uzbekistan 2-1 to enter men’s 60kg quarterfinal.

Boxing: India's Deepak who was up against Muhammad Abdul Qaiyum Bin Ariffin of Malaysia in the 51kg category Round of 32 bout won 5:0.

Wushu: Roshibina Devi of India secured victory over Kazakhstan's Aiman K in the women's 60kg quarterfinals, earning the win based on points - Medal assured. This achievement marks her second Asian Games appearance, having previously won a bronze medal in the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games.

Tennis: Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale dominate over Akgul Amanmuradova & Maksim Shin 6-2, 6-4 in Mixed Doubles to qualify for the R-32.

Swimming: India's Srihari Nataraj finishes 6th with a timing of 25.39 in the 50m backstroke final

Boxing: India women boxer Arundhati Choudhary loses Round 2 against Liu Yang of China in women's 66kg.

Cricket: Indian women's cricket team clinch gold, win by 19 runs on their maiden appearance at the Asian Games.

Rugby: The Indian women's rugby team faced a tough streak of defeats, culminating in an eighth-place finish.

Handball: The Indian women's handball team started their Asian Games journey with a loss, going down 13-41 to Japan in their Group B match.

Basketball: Indian men's team defeated Malaysia 20-16 in the 3X3 event

Tennis: Defending champions India knocked out after losing to Uzbekistan.
