The three-match T20I series between Ireland and India is slated to commence on August 18 with both teams having named their squads.

India, captained by Hardik Pandya, faced defeat against West Indies in the 5-match T20I series 2-3. Now, the Men in Blue is gearing up to take on Ireland with a fresh leader, Jasprit Bumrah, at the helm.

The three-match T20I series between Ireland and India is slated to commence on August 18 with both teams having named their squads.

This series will also mark the return of several players, most notably veteran fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. The pacer is returning back after a prolonged injury and fans are expecting to see him back in his usual form, barring in mind, he will be playing a pivotal role in the upcoming Asia Cup and ODI World Cup.

Supporting the 29-year-old pace spearhead as his deputy in the series will be Ruturaj Gaikwad. Notably, Gaikwad had previously been named the captain of a youthful team set to participate in the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou.

On the other hand, Ireland's squad sees the return of all-rounders Fionn Hand and Gareth Delany, who missed out on the T20 World Cup Europe Region Qualifier in July. Ireland has already secured its place in the 2024 T20I World Cup. Delany had been recovering from a wrist injury sustained during the World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe. The leadership reins of the 15-member Irish squad will be held by Paul Stirling.
