9 stadiums will stage 51 matches for the AFC Asian Cup 2023, with the final scheduled on February 10.
The AFC Asian Cup is returning to Qatar after five years with the event all set to commence on January 12. A total of nine stadiums will host 51 matches, with the final set to take place on February 10. Qatar, the defending champion and host, is organizing the 18th edition, marking its third time hosting the tournament after successful events in 1988 and 2011.
The 24 participating teams have been divided into six groups, each consisting of four teams. The Indian football team, led by the talismanic captain Sunil Chhetri, finds itself in Group B alongside Australia, Uzbekistan, and Syria.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has named a 26-member squad for the AFC Asian Cup 2023. Since the inception of the AFC Asian Cup in 1956, India has qualified for the continental football championship on five occasions: 1964, 1984, 2011, 2019, and 2023.

The Blue Tigers will miss the services of Anwar Ali, Jeakson Singh Thounaojam, Ashique Kuruniyan and Rohit Kumar due to injuries.
