The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2

Story:

Vox Machina are on a new mission. Things get darker this time around and being immature is not an option anymore.

Review:

The Legend Of Vox Machina season 2 begins on a great note. Every character right from Grog and Scanlan to Percy and Vax, are a delight to watch. They grow in front of your eyes which is beautiful.

Grog’s journey, especially, from being Vox Machina’s Hulk to Cast Away to getting back to his real self, is one worth watching. He has been the dumbest of the crew and his comic timing is on point even in this season. He brings in the comic relief during the intense scenes but unfortunately, that is rare too.

Scanlan is also a character who grows in some sense. Known to be flamboyant, he learns responsibilities, even if for most parts, it is just to impress the people around him. Typical Scanlan.

Many characters develop early on. Keyleth has a secret that nobody knows about. She herself discovers what this secret is after being faced with a situation that requires her to take some action.

Similarly, Vax faces with a challenge and comes stronger out of it. He, of course, is the more serious character. This time, you even get a background as to why he and Vex are the way they are. Percy’s background was clear anyway but there’s more clarity this time around nonetheless.

Thankfully, if the makers have intense on one hand, there’s comedy on another. The story does not drift away but just when you think it gets too much, there’s the comic relief in the form of Grog or Scanlan. That is the better part of the show.

Pike is an absolute delight to watch. Even though she has a smaller role, it is a beautifully written and executed character.

The Legend Of Vox Machina also pays a little tribute to Squid Games, among many other projects like Harry Potter and Game Of Thrones. They recreate scenes but somehow manage to make it their own. Fans of The Legend of Vox Machina are sure to enjoy those moments. The rest, well, they might just find it a recreation and nothing more than that.

This show has introduced a world of its own. Called The Fey Realm, this one is a challenge the Vox Machina have to face and come out of, at least if they intend to beat the dragon. The journey will leave you hooked.

A new character named Garmelie is introduced to the show. He has the charm and height of Scanlan but is a huge mystery for sure.

Apart from him, the viewers get to meet Grog’s family and get to know about his past. This time, the character is one of the highlights and that is extremely delightful to watch.

While a series usually look for a perfect ending, The Legend of Vox Machina opted for bizarre. However, since it goes with the theme of the show, no fan of the show might be able to complain.

Verdict:

Let us establish this very well. The Legend of Vox Machina is not a show everyone will like. However, if you could sit through season 1 and even liked it, then season 2 is definitely a treat.
