Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu
Story
Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu is set in the small town of Telangana. Sathii(Jagadeesh Bandari) is a poor man who needs 25 lakh rupees for his daughter's surgery as she has a hole in her heart. Left with no choice, Sathi decides to sell his two acres of land and makes a deal with the village head. During this time, he finds a briefcase filled with precious stones. Sathi decides to sell the stones and make money out of it. But it is not an easy task to sell the stones in such a small village. What kind of issues he faces in selling these stones is the basic story of the film.
Review
Pushpa fame Jagadeesh Bandari turns the main lead with Sathi Gani Rendu Eekaralu which is now streaming on Aha. This film is quite special as it also marks the OTT debut of the famous production house, Mythri Movie Makers, into the digital space. Well, the backdrop of the film is quite interesting though it is old school. The casting, locations, and small-town setup look realistic.

The film starts on a decent note and director Abhinav Danda unleashes the plot in an interesting manner. But things get bogged down when sub plots featuring Vennala Kishore and Bittiri Sathi are brought into the narrative. Rather than focusing on the emotions and fun part of the story, the narrative jumps to so many subplots which bores the audience.
The problem with the film is that each character has a backstory that does not gel with the narrative and only drags the proceedings. The main lead, Sathi, finds these precious stones and goes to a guy to sell them. One would expect more drama and twists from there on, instead, the story deviates from the main plot and boring comedy is showcased only to bore the audience.
The curiosity factor as to what will happen with the precious stones is created till the end but things get spoiled with a silly climax. There is no proper emotional connection in the film and this is where Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu goes for a toss.
Performance wise, Jagadeesh Bandari gets a key role and impresses big time. The way he plays his role and emotes in an innocent manner is so good to see. Vennela Kishore plays a private detective and his track is boring. But still, Kishore makes up for it and creates a few fun moments.

Aneesha Dama plays a village belle and she was good in her role. Mohana Sree who plays the main lead's wife was neat as the nagging wife. Raj Tirandasu of Pushpa fame gets a good role and makes the most of it. The production values are top notch and the camerawork showcasing the village visuals is good. The BGM and Telangana slang is used in a good way.
Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu had the story, cast, and visuals but it is the shoddy execution that spoils the fun for the audience. A few scenes look interesting but there are also some subplots that do not make any sense and fail to create a proper connection with the audience.
Verdict
On the whole, Sathi Gani Rednu Ekaralu is a boring crime comedy that lacks basic emotions. The scenes are dragged for no reason and comedy bores the audience. In one word, the film lacks seriousness in its approach and ends on a silly note. The only solace of the film is Jagdeesh Bandari's sincere performance.
