OK Boss review: Aarohi, Devarshi, Aarjav's web series paves way for an interesting second season

Not Aarohi, but Devarshi Shah and Aarjav Trivedi are someone to watch out for in OK Boss.

What's it about:

Two friends-colleagues-flatmates Mayank and Dhaval (played by Devarshi Shah and Aarjav Trivedi respectively) undergo trying circumstances after life puts forth its toughest challenge in front of them. How they handle their relationship through the office drama, is what makes up for the story.

What's hot:

The friendship between Mayank and Dhaval is shown growing in the most beautiful way possible. Of course, it wouldn't be the same if Devarsh and Aarjav did not emote as the situation required them to. They are on point and so is Aarohi. The actress, who is one of the most known faces in the Gujarati industry, especially in the web scenario, gives a notable performance yet again in the role of Megha. Her character has a hidden surprise (which isn't so good in nature).

Director Kewal Raval has efficiently managed to make a switch from the office scenario to home within a split second. He has also taken special care to add dialogues which give depth to a character. Mayku (Mayank) is heard telling his parents, "My best friend (referring to Dhaval) did not get the promotion." This is when he should ideally be happy for his own promotion. Bringing in such small elements in a friendship drama, makes OK Boss a sweet watch.

Not only friendship, Kewal also manages to show a realistic parent-son relationship in the times of Instagram and "friend-zoning." The show is filled with adorable moments at unexpected times and that is something to watch out for.

The show ends at an unexpected point, thus paving way for a season season. This time though, the makers promise triple the fun.

What's not:

The editing is a little messy in some places. There was a black frame while Aarohi was talking which is off-putting for that second. However, since this is just one instance, it can be overlooked.

Verdict:

Go watch OK Boss for a fun time. Who knows, the show might even inspire you enough to dial up your old BFFs and catch up with them.
