Story:

Review:

While the last episode showed some ray of hope for all the three Yeom siblings, the new one is the total opposite. The story of Gu and Mi-jeong had just begun and it breaks your heart to see him leave her and go back to Seoul.

But Gu seems to have no choice. His past comes haunting to Sanpo. One of his associates goes to Mi-jeong's house and learns everything about her family when he comes looking for Gu. He quickly understands that Gu is not returning to Seoul, despite being requested by the chairman himself, because of a girl. Gu quickly looks back at him but does not say a word. He is then sure that the reason for him to stay back is a girl. In a fit of anger, he decides to go back and expose the drug racket run by his ex-girlfriend's brother Baek, who had taken over his business. The dent in his Rolls Royce car by Chang-hee only adds to his anger.

When Gu tells Mi-jeong that he is going back, she insists that she would call him once a while and stay in touch. Gu is not so hopeful about the relationship and says she should move to Seoul someday. But Mi-jeong has made up her mind and she has decided to live the life that she is leading currently. She says she is not angry but definitely sad that he is leaving, which might later turn into anger. Gu then leaves the town immediately. The way Mi-jeong keeps reminding herself of the three rules of the liberation club that she will not pretend to be either happy or unhappy and that she will be honest to herself.

The episode mainly focuses on Gu and Mi-jeong's relationship and includes only a bit about the growing relationship between Gi-jeong and Tae-hun. Tae-hun is straightforward and tells Gi-jeong that he may not be able to talk much especially on Sundays and she accepts it. The two set some ground rules on their first date and their relationship seems more practical.

The show ends with the death of Baek and Gu laughing at it. He says he always laughs at someone's death. It again shares some dark glimpses of his personality. He still seems to loom over the past.

The fun part of the show was how Gu runs after Chang-hee, who does not care about the car as much as he did initially after the car is dented. Gu who had shown some athletic abilities with his long jump earlier, was able to catch Chang-hee as he runs after him. Chang-hee's friend gets the two some water as they run, which is sure to give you a few laughs.

It might appear to have a poor balance with everybody's stories but it just feels right. The show's slow pace grows on you. And though all the characters have a come long way in the show, the story still remains unpredictable. Will Mi-jeong join Gu in Seoul or will go find him is what needs to be seen.

Verdict:

The episode has a sudden twist with Gu returning to Seoul. It ends with Mi-jeong in a new look in what looks like Seoul. Gu had suggested that she too moves to Seoul but she had made a choice to stay back.
