Story:

Episode 14 focuses on the Yeom siblings dealing with the loss of their mother. While Gi-jeong and Mi-jeong act recklessly, Chang-hee is seen to become more responsible and believes he followed his instinct and quit his job at the right time, otherwise there would have been no one to take care of his father if the three had to leave for work.

Review:

The new episode shows the Yeom siblings dealing with the loss of their mother. They have their own ways. While Mi-jeong and Gi-jeong act a little recklessly, Chang-hee recounts the experience of finding out about his mother passing away first. He speaks to his friends about how he had also found that his grandmother had passed away in her sleep first.

The show uses some dark humour and the characters are seen talking openly about death, which is not the usual in many households in the other parts of the world, especially in India. Chang-hee talks about how he asked his grandfather when he is going to pass away as he had turned 80 and wanted to die at that age. But later, his grandfather tells him that he would like to be alive for 10 more years. Chang-hee and his friends talk about having a system where everyone dies at the age of 100. But Chang-hee admits that he would probably find another way to break the system so that he does not have to die. It was quite fascinating to watch them discuss death and looks like they are more accepting of the fact that everyone who takes birth, dies.

It shows that the dynamics of the Yeom family have changed. Gi-jeong takes charge of the household while Chang-hee helps his father out. Their father also realises that it was not him taking care of the family but the children and his wife who were taking care of him. They get a car and everyone visits the beach for the first time, breaking the monotony of life.

Mi-jeong exposes her boss's affair when she gets a call from his suspicious wife. Her boss was involved with someone at work and he had saved her number as Mi-jeong. The way Mi-jeong stands up against him, without fear, is a delight to watch. She is forced to sit down with the HR and the episode occurs just before her review.

The entire episode runs in the flashback as Mi-jeong's father narrates the incidents to Gu. He then shares her phone number with him and after much hesitation, he is seen giving her a call. One would expect that Mi-jeong would be really angry and yell at him. But she was instead happy to hear back from him.

The episode ends with the reunion of Gu and Mi-jeong, giving a hopeful twist to the story of Yeom siblings. Gi-jeong and Tae-hun decide to get married. It came out of the blue and was totally unexpected and Tae-hun decides to give it a chance and says yes when Gi-jeong proposes to him.

Verdict:

The episode ends on a hopeful note again as Gu and Mi-jeong reunite. Their conversation, as they smile and shy away, is cute and will bring a smile to your face.
