Love Is Blind season 2 review: This series screams toxicity

From Abhishek (Shake)'s judgements on everything from figure to looks to Jerrard not thinking twice before his second proposal, everything about the show is unnatural and toxic.

Love Is Blind season 2 review: This series screams toxicity

Love Is Blind S2.

Love Is Blind Season 6

Story:

Various couples come in search of true love. A few get engaged and even fewer couples walk down the aisle and become husband and wife for life. How many people will this experiment work for?

Review:

Love Is Blind season 2 has the perfect example of what America disapproves of in Chassdity. She is a black woman who is also overweight. Of course, she has been through a lot and how people react to her during and after the experiment would be another experiment. With her entry, you understand where the show is headed – trying to fit in but really, just moving backwards.

The way this show is executed is too shallow. You get to see how everyone judges another almost instantly.

The first proposal happens in the first episode itself. It is a very cute moment between them. There is a heartbreak moment soon after.

The drama continues from the word go. Not just open judgements, we all get to see relationship drama like a love triangle and much more.

Shocking stories follow. They simply add up to the bizarre going on in Love Is Blind. Staying true to the theme, the show also goes cheesy and borderline embarrassing at a few places.

The drama that comes with a wedding is all intact in Love Is Blind S2. From being too late in confessing the love to falling in love with the same person, this series has all the drama you need to the T.

Honestly, you can never figure out if the makers brought in men or tools in the name of men. They are judgy, do not think before speaking and simply go playing around like young boys. It's disappointing and doesn't even feel like they want to get engaged. They clearly aren't ready for one, going by the way they treat their woman or women in general even.

This season appears to be rushed. You do not get to see how the girls or boys react to news of other people's engagement and are thrown into the honeymoon phase almost instantly.

Almost everything is fairytale to the point that it makes you feel like everything happening is scripted. The music when the parent meeting time comes definitely screams drama.

The wedding days, as always, are dramatic and fairytale all at the same time. There is a happy ending for everyone, just in a different way. Of course, there are surprise elements here too.

The reunion episode, which is the latest, sees how people have changed for the good or the worse. Of course, it screams drama considering the situations these couples have been through. For the first time ever, a contestant manages to piss off the hosts too. This is the same man who has been on everybody's nerves (including the viewers') since day uno.

Verdict:

There are so many toxic people in the new season of Love Is Blind that you would simply want to stay miles away from this show. Do yourself a favour and don't spoil your mood by putting yourself through this hell-ride.
