Review:

Geetha Subramanyam is into its third season now and has its own fan following. What's good about the series is the lack of double meaning content. Even though it is about a couple in romance, the makers have kept things neat in this eight episode series. The basic premise of the show is quite good as the modern take of a live-in couple and how they get into issues within their office and personal life is shown in a neat manner.

Abhignya as Geetha and Supraj as Subramanyam have done very well. By the end of the series, they have brought the feeling that they are the real Geetha and Subramanyam. Technically, Pawan's music, Vinay's editing, Sridhar KV's camera work, Tamada Media's production values and taking are decent. The way the couple fall in love and the small issues they face is good to see.

Also, the conflict point in the series is also established quite well. Good care has been taken to make the story go smoothly without getting bored anywhere for the most part. But the show has its fair share of issues. There is a lot of scope for entertainment, but the director Siva Sai doesn't seem to have taken a lot of chances. Also, the dialogue delivery of the characters and the way the characters behave is a bit congested.

There are so many scenes where the drama should have been even more gripping. There are also scenes which are dragged for no reason. However, the climax has been taken to the peak. The way things end on a positive note is quite good and the emotions shown are also decent.

Verdict:

On the whole Geetha Subramanyam is a modern take on love. The basic setup, conflict point and performances are decent. However, the premise is old and novelty is given a miss in the proceedings. All those who have seen the first two seasons and have a liking to such romantic dramas can give this series a shot.
