Story:
Technicians Salvo (Salvatore Ficarra) and Valentino (Valentino Picone) accidentally step into a murder scene. Soon they realise they have the motive for the murder, even though they have not committed any crime.
Review:
Mystery and comedy are two genres that often fail to go hand-in-hand. Yet the Italian series Framed: A Sicilian Murder Mystery has managed to pull it off in all its means. The series has ticked major boxes including decent character development, engaging storyline and pleasing performances.
Within minutes, the audience would start journeying with the duo. The script is well-written, so that we could easily reason the actions of the characters. For instance, Salvo is presented as someone who loves watching crime thrillers and the makers have brilliantly used this characteristic of him to blend with the murder mystery that happens in his own life.
Though stepped into the crime scene accidentally, soon they realise that they got a clear motive which could clearly turn them as the murderers. Salvo, who deals with the situation along with a heartbreak, is an appealing character throughout the series. He receives much attention. Meanwhile, Valentino, who serves as a good friend and brother-in-law to Salvo, seems to have a neat character growth, which is actually impressive.
The fast-pace of the storyline and the touch of humour have given the show an easy-going nature, though it is intriguing and intense in many scenes. It is impossible to get bored or to stop watching the show which offers a binge-worthy experience. The characters are fresh and alive throughout the time. Even the costumes and the glimpses of the Sicilian city have helped the show in setting a tone, which takes anyone on a smooth ride.
Each episode in Season 1 ends with little yet impactful cliffhangers that will keep you hooked throughout the six episodes. The satirical drama also brings forth heartfelt moments and emotions along with plot twists and deep climaxes. The chemistry of the comic partners have topped it all in making the series a complete entertainer.
Season 1 ends in an interesting cliffhanger as well, which would make anyone wait for the next part. In search of the murderer and the following incidents, the duo leaves many questions that will be probably be answered in the season update.

Framed: A Sicilian Murder Mystery is recommended if you are looking for something intense, packed in a light-hearted manner. The show is sure to make you engaged and entertained.
