While the new Demon Slayer - Entertainment District Arc episode begins on a boring note, before you can even yawn, the story turns so dark that knots form in your stomach thinking what is the future of the series.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba
Story:
Tengen Uzui fights the demon Gyutaro with Tanjiro while Inosuke and Zenitsu take upon Daki. The fight gets intense but who will eventually take control?
Review:
As soon as the Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc's ninth episode gets into being, there is chaos, amazing VFX and fighting skills all thrown at you. Of course, Tengen Uzui is at centre of it. He takes the limelight from Tanjiro and for the good.
After the introduction, you are transported to peaceful times. It shows Tengen's loving side but is equally irritating since he receives immense respect for literally no special reason.
The one good thing is when Tengen tends to become an overdoze, the makers introduce the passionate Tanjiro. However, he cannot save the plot single-handedly.
Inosuke and Zenitsu are also no fun this time around. Even though it cannot be expected from them in a serious situation, Inosuke almost always has a comeback but this time, he has none. Zenitsu also tends to become boring with no special moves up his sleeve, till he does something which is sure to go unnoticed. The move is pretty cool given the dangerous situation he is put in. Even Insouke, who thinks of himself as Inosuke 'sama' (Lord Inosuke) is left impressed by the move.
The demon, Gyutaro, is a huge surprise. He will make your tummy twist and head spin (figuratively) through his abilities and fighting skills.
Finally, Insouke and Zenitsu appear as the heroes they are expected to be. Them dealing with the demon Daki becomes tiresome. Just then, Tanjiro shines through his abilities.
After setting in, Zenitsu leaves no opportunity to show he is really cool. Seeing that, Inosuke also gets back on track and becomes the wild boar every Demon Slayer fan loves.
Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu come together and it is a sight you do not want to miss! They are a visual delight that is just an advancement to their already amazing friendship bond.
Inosuke changes form, one you wouldn't have expected to see him in. He literally goes wild but for how long? Things change here in a blink and all you can do is expect the unexpected and more of that.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger, one that will leave your stomach in knots. Thankfully, the makers have also ensured that after holding your breath at the cliffhanger moment, you can heave a sigh of relief, even if just little.
Verdict:
Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc gets darker. The episode begins on a boring note but so much goes on as the story progresses that by the time you actually grasp the scenario, you feel so many knots in your stomach that it becomes tough to breathe. "After coming this far, will Demon Slayer end like this?," is the question you will be asking yourself.
