Review:
While the first episode of Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc gave us some hints about what the Entertainment District would be like, the second season touches the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the place. You see things clearly, but not so clearly as to get the full picture.
Tengen Uzui is back with his dictating personality. At the beginning of the episode, we see his male chauvinistic behaviour as he calls himself God and everybody else his dogs, who are expected to obey his orders. He turns out to be a no-nonsense man, even when he utters a lot of unbelievable things.
Zenitsu and Inosuke are just as crazy, while Tanjiro takes control as the sensible one among the group.
Tanjiro is also determined. It is a quality that has remained constant in him. This is a quality seen in everyone from Zenitsu to Inosuke, and, of course, Tengen too.
The punchlines from the episode are still intact. The situations make it an all the more hilarious watch. However, it would be wrong to define the episode solely on that basis.
The last scene in Demon Slayer Entertainment Arc Episode 2 is quite the cliffhanger as one member of the team finally comes a little closer to completing his first mission.
The third episode, "Who Are You?", is something that could go either way. Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Tengen's truth could come out in the open, or they could meet a member who could get them close to the demons staying at the Entertainment Arc. Nonetheless, it is sure to be a surprising episode. Or at least, that's what we would expect considering the title.
Verdict
Tengen has a smaller role in the second episode, and thus, he can be ignored here. Thanks to the cameo appearance, the second episode is a good watch. You get to see Tanjiro being a softie, Zenitsu being determined sub-consciously, and Inosuke being himself-angry as ever! Do give the episode a watch, for it is likely to get interesting hereon.
