The Oscar-winning star celebrates her birthday today

Natalie Portman is one of the most celebrated Hollywood stars today. A Harvard graduate and an Oscar winner, Portman made her debut in the acclaimed 1994 film, Léon: The Professional, at the age of just 12. She played the lead in the film alongside Jean Reno, and her performance received praise from critics. She has since appeared in award-winning films and also played pivotal roles in two of the biggest global franchises, Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it was her riveting performance in the psychological drama Black Swan that earned her an Academy Award. She has also appeared in other hit films such as V for Vendetta, and The Other Boleyn Girl.

She is set to reprise her role as Jane Foster in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thor, but in a new avatar as the Mighty Thor alongside Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.
