The Bollywood actress Dimple Kapadia is known for her range as well as taking up challenging roles. She made her debut in the 1973 movie, Bobby directed by Raj Kapoor, in which she played a lead role.
She received major critical acclaim for her performances in the movies Kaash Drishti, Lekin… and Rudaali. She won the National Award for Best Actress as well as a Filmfare Award for her role in the latter.
Her performance in the ensemble, Dil Chahta Hai was also well received by the critics and audiences alike.
In 2020, she was cast in the Christopher Nolan directorial venture, Tenet.
She has also appeared in the action thriller Pathaan which starred Shahrukh Khan in the lead role, which was released in 2023. He plays the lead in hit Disney+ Hotstar crime thriller series, Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo.
