Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hit the theatres on May 6

Created by Steve Ditko with Stan Lee, Doctor Strange is one of the most beloved characters in American comics published by Marvel Comics. First appearing in Strange Tales #110, Doctor Strange was introduced as Sorceror Supreme who saves the earth from all mystical and magical threats, along with his friend and valet Wong.

The character was initially played in a live-action rendition by Peter Hooten in the 1978 television film Doctor Strange. Since 2016, Benedict Cumberbatch has taken up the role of playing Stephen Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
