Prithviraj Sukumaran is a prominent figure in the Indian film industry, known for his versatile acting prowess and contributions to Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema.
Prithviraj's acting journey began with the Malayalam film Nandanam in 2002, where he portrayed a significant role that garnered critical acclaim. With the highest-grossing Malayalam film of the year 2006, Classmates he made a name for himself as a prominent performer in the genre. At age 24, he became the youngest laureate of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor, which went to Vaasthavam. He debuted in playback singing with Puthiya Mukham after playing a musician in the Tamil romantic comedy Mozhi. He won accolades for the biographical film Celluloid and the medical drama Ayalum Njanum Thammil.
Prithviraj went on to star in and co-produce the films Urumi and Indian Rupee the latter of which took home the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film. Before starring in Ennu Ninte Moideen and Ezra, he was awarded the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Villain for his role in Kaaviya Thalaivan. With Lucifer, Prithviraj made his directing debut. Up until June 2023, it was the highest-grossing Malayalam movie ever. Since then, he has acted in films such as Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire, Jana Gana Mana, Driving License, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, and Kaduva.
