Nicole Kidman has received multiple accolades, such as the Academy Award, the Golden Globe and the Emmy, for her versatile performances across films and TV shows.
After debuting in 1983 in Australian films such as Bush Christmas and BMX Bandits her breakthrough role came in the 1989 psychological thriller, Dead Calm. She also appeared in the three-part mini-series, Bangkok Hilton, in the same year.
In 1990, she starred alongside Tom Cruise as Dr. Claire Lewicki in the sports action drama, Days of Thunder garnered international fame for Kidman.
She was cast in the 1999 psychological drama Eyes Wide Shut which was the last movie directed by legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick.
Nicole Kidman received the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in the psychological drama movie, The Hours. She also received an Emmy Award for her performance in the drama series, Big Little Lies.
