The American satirical TV series, Succession starring Bryan Cox, premiered its series finale on 29th May 2023
Brian Cox is a classically trained Shakespearean actor and is known for his stage performances as well as lead roles in TV series. He is also notable for his numerous supporting roles in movies. After making numerous appearances on Television since 1965, Cox landed his first movie role in 1971 when he was cast as Leon Trotsky in the movie, Nicholas and Alexandra.
In 1985, Cox portrayed the psychopath, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, in Michael Mann's crime drama Manhunter. His performance was highly praised by the audience as well as the critics alike.
Bourne Identity 25th Hour and Zodiac are the other major movies that Cox has appeared in.
In 2001, he won the Primetime Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for his performance in the television film Nuremberg. He has also appeared in the sitcom Frasier as well as in the Western TV series, Deadwood.
He portrayed the fictional business tycoon Logan Roy in the HBO series Succession in 2018 for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor as well as a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.
