Anupam Kher is a well known Indian actor and the recipient of two National Film Awards and eight Filmfare Awards.
Kher started his career at the age of 29, where he played a retired middle aged man who loses his son, in Mahesh Bhatt’s Saransh.
He has since gone on to work in numerous films, including various Hollywood Productions, such as the Golden Globe nominated Bend It Like Beckham (2002), Ang Lee's Golden Lion–winning Lust and most recently Anthony Maras' Hotel Mumbai (2019).
Kher also served as the chairman for the Film and Television Insitute of India, from 11 October 2017- 31 October 2018.
