Guy Ritchie to direct live-action remake of Hercules
Acclaimed director Guy Ritchie, who has films such as Snatch, Sherlock Holmes and Wrath of Man to his credit, is set to helm Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of the 1997 animated film Hercules. Ritchie has earlier collaborated with Disney for the live-action adaptation of Aladdin in 2019. Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings screenwriter Dave Callaham has written the first draft of the script. Russo brothers, who are best known for directing Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, are producing the film.
Temuera Morrison to star in Far North
Star Wars actor Temuera Morrison, popular for essaying the role of Boba Fett, is teaming up with fellow Kiwi actress Robyn Malcolm for a new series titled Far North. Based on true events that took place in New Zealand, the series revolves around a couple who try to bust a massive drug deal. David White serves as the creator and director of the series.
Snowpiecer canceled after four seasons
TNT has announced the cancellation of the post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller series Snowpiecer. The series will not return with new episodes after the conclusion of the fourth season which is currently in production. Based on Parasite director Bong Joon-Ho’s movie of the same name, the series features Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs in the lead roles.
Shabaash Mithu trailer released
The trailer of the upcoming Hindi film Shabaash Mithu gives a glimpse of Taapsee Pannu as the ace cricketer Mithali Raj, who holds the record for the highest run-scorer in women’s international cricket. The film traces the early life of the cricketer and showcases her struggles before rising to fame. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, the film is set to hit theaters on July 15th.

The highly anticipated third season of the popular superhero series The Umbrella Academy is set to premiere on June 22nd on Netflix. The upcoming season picks up from where the previous one ended and features a new family of superheroes called The Sparrows.
Man v/s Bee
Mr Bean actor Rowan Atkinson is set to make his OTT debut with the Netflix series Man vs. Bee which is scheduled to be released on June 24th. Atkinson has created and written the series along with Johnny English writer William Davies.
Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area
The Korean adaptation of the hit Spanish heist series Money Heist will debut on Netflix on June 24th. Titled Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area the series follows a group of individuals who try to loot 4 trillion won from the Korea Unified Mint. Yoo Ji-tae will essay the role of Professor in the series.
Forensic
Forensic starring Vikrant Massey, Radhika Apte, and Prachi Desai, is set to premiere on Zee5 on June 24th. Based on the 2020 Malayalam movie of the same name starring Minnal Murali star Tovino Thomas, the film revolves around a forensic officer who teams up with a cop to solve a series of murders involving girls.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata
The Telugu film Sarkaru Vaari Paata starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role, will be available on Amazon Prime Video from June 23rd. Apart from Babu, the film stars Keerthy Suresh, Samuthirakani, Nadiya Moidu, Subbaraju, Vennela Kishore, and Tanikella Bharani, among others.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 the sequel to the hit 2007 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, was released on Netflix this Sunday. The film features Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani in lead roles.
Jugjugg Jiyo
The much-awaited Hindi film Jugjugg Jiyo featuring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor will hit the silver screen on June 24th. Directed by Raj Mehta, the film revolves around two couples from different generations. Manish Paul and Prajakta Koli also star in the film.
