Margarita Levieva and Sandrine Holt join the cast of Daredevil: Born Again
Marvel fans have reason to rejoice! For one, Matt Murdock will be returning to Daredevil: Born Again. But now it’s confirmed, two new actors are joining the Disney+ series. And it's none other than Margarita Levieva and Sandrine Holt. The two actors will be joining the reprising cast of Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio. Reportedly, Michael Gandolfini from The Many Saints of Newark will also be joining the series. As it turns out, Margarita Levieva has reportedly signed a two-series deal with Disney — the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again and an upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte.
Stephen Curry is teaming up with Amazon Studios for the movie Adaptation for ToeJam & Earl
Movie adaptations of classic video games seem to be the new norm and ToeJam & Earl, the cult classic video game from the 1990s is next in line. NBA All-Star Stephen Curry is teaming up with Amazon Studios for the film adaptation of ToeJam & Earl. The game features two alien rappers from the planet Funkotron who crashed their spaceship on earth. The players are required to get the aliens through the obstacles on this new planet and find the missing pieces of their ship to get home. This is going to be one helluva ride and we can’t wait for this one to drop!
The series Cross is set to begin filming next year
The much-anticipated series Cross is finally gearing up for filming after a long wait of two years. The series is based on the New York Times best-selling author James Patterson's Alex Cross book series. Aldis Hodge, the producer and lead actor of the show revealed that the series focuses on Hodge’s character Alex Cross, a forensic psychologist and a skilled detective. As it turns out, Cross is haunted by past trauma and his obsession with hunting down killers challenges his personal life where he happens to be a doting father.
Netflix reveals the release date for Harry & Meghan Doc Series
Royal family enthusiasts are getting ready for the highly-awaited documentary series on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Netflix is releasing the series in two volumes with the first three episodes will drop on December 8 and the rest of the episodes on December 15. The trailer for the six-part series was released recently, revealing glimpses of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Helmed by two-time Oscar-nominee Liz Garbus, the documentary showcases their very public love story right from the time when they first crossed paths.
Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy and RJ Cyler are set to star in Jeymes Samuel’s Book of Clarence
Jeymes Samuel's The Book of Clarence is creating quite a stir in Hollywood. And if you go by the recent additions to the cast, it would justify the hype surrounding the forthcoming adaptation. Prominent names from Tinseltown such as RJ Cyler, Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, Anna Diop and Marianne Jean-Baptiste have been confirmed and the movie is set to begin production soon in Italy. LaKeith Stanfield and Omar Sy are already part of the cast with Stanfield essaying the role of Clarence. Samuels made a huge impact with his debut release Western The Harder They Fall in 2021. It's an alternative take as it is inspired by classic Hollywood epics set in Biblical times.
Mickey 17 is set to release in 2024
The Academy Award-winning director, Bong Joon Ho is all geared up to start his new project Mickey 17. Warner Bros. recently announced that the film will get a theatrical release in March 2024. Based on the book Mickey 17 by Edward Ashton, the movie features a stellar cast comprising Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo. The movie revolves around a man known as expendable on a mission to colonize a planet. The crew members are all from different colonies and are tasked with dangerous feats that can prove to be fatal. After their death, their bodies are cloned and their memories restored. Now that’s the world of sci-fi we want to live in forever!
Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin are set to star in Paul Weitz’s new series
Paul Weitz, the Oscar nominee behind the critically-acclaimed 2002 film About a Boy is working on a comedy titled Moving On. Weitz who will be helming the project has also penned the script and the cast comprises Academy Award-winner Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Malcolm McDowell, and Richard Roundtree. The film is slated for a theatrical release in March 2023.
