The star-studded premiere of Diganth's Thimayya & Thimayya
Thimayya & Thimayya is debutant director's Sanjay Sharma's film with Diganth and Anant Nag in the film. The duo are ably supported by a cast including Aindrita Ray, Shubra Aiyappa, Rukmini Vijaykumar, Venkatesh Sriram, Chaitra Rao and Vineeth Beep Kumar, among others. The film opens in theatres on December 2.

No stopping Diganth
Even though leading man Diganth is nursing a torn tendon and has his left leg in a cast, there was no way he would miss the premiere of his film. Armed with a walker, the actor made his way to the venue, along with his wife and co-star, Aindrita Ray.

Diganth is one half of the two Thimayyas in the film
Diganth plays Vinci Thimayya, the grandson of Sr Thimayya, played by Anant Nag. This is Diganth's fifth film with Anant. The film revolves around the relationship dynamic of the duo.

Shubra Aiyappa is back in Kannada cinema
Remember the No Problem song from Shivarajkumar's Vajrakaya and the leggy lass that he was wooing in it. Well, she's back now as one of the two ladies in Vinci Thimayya's (Diganth) life. Shubra plays Sowmya, Vinci's fiancee in the film.

Aindrita Ray has been speaking very highly about her role in Thimayya & Thimayya. The actress plays Jyotsana, Vinci's neighbour, who shares a certain camraderie with him. She becomes the catalyst in getting Vinci and Sr Thimayya to bond again after years apart.

Jordindian's Vineeth Beep Kumar is Diganth's bestie in the film
One half of the popular YouTube comics Jordindian, Vineeth, who was last seen on the big screen in Danish Sait's One Cut Two Cut, gets a better and meatier role in Thimayya & Thimayya. Vineeth plays Andy, Vinci's best buddy and budding realtor.

Director Gurudatta Ganiga's on the production team
Gurudatta Ganiga, who co-directed Ambi Ning Vayasayytho along with Kiccha Sudeep's nephew Sanchith, helped with the production co-ordination of Thimayya & Thimayya. He's not given up on direction and will be making his own film soon.

Captain of the ship
Thimayya & Thimayya is the directorial debut of Sanjay Sharma, an ad-maker-turned-filmmaker. His research about the history of cafes for a corporate project, led him to writing the script of the film. His brother Rajesh Sharma has produced the film.
