Tagaru Palya is the directorial debut of Umesh K Krupa. Dhananjaya's Daali Pictures has introduced two other filmmakers, Shankar (Badava Rascal) and Shoonya (Head Bush). His mantra of giivng new talent a platform continues with his latest production venture.
Dhananjaya had earlier said that he would produce a film for his good friend Nagabhushana at some point. So, when Tagaru Palya was announced, it was assumed it would be for Nagabhushana. This, however, was confirmed only closer to the muhurtha.
Tagaru Palya's leading lady is a star kid. Amrutha is actor Nenapirali Prem's daughter.
Prem, who heard the story of Tagaru Palya, was excited about its realistic subject. But the clincher, he says, was that Daali Dhananjaya was producing the film. That's why he thought Tagaru Palya would be good launchpad for his daughter.
Tagaru Palya had its official muhurtha this week. The film will go on floors shortly.
Diirector Umesh has been quoted as saying that Tagaru Palya is a rural subject, revolving around a function, and villagers who cook food at the temple premises and offer it to the deity.
