Movies of stars such as Dulquer Salmaan, Manju Warrier, Biju Menon, Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali and Joju George are gearing up for releases on OTTs and theatres this month
March is already proving to be an exciting month for Malayalam audience. Mammootty’s Bheeshma Parvam kicked off the month with a bang in theatres, with the movie going on to create a new box office record within days of its release. Tovino Thomas’ Naradan too has began to pick up momentum in the theatres. But that’s not all, the month also promises several big releases on OTTs and theatres that features Dulquer Salmaan, Manju Warrier, Kunchacko Boban and others in the lead. Here are the March releases from Malayalam:

The Kamal KM directorial, which has Kunchacko Boban, Joju George, Vinayakan and Dileesh Pothan in the lead, revolves around the true incident of the members of Ayyankali Pada holding the district collector hostage in 1996. The movie will release in theatres on March 10.
Pulimurugan director Vysakh’s thriller that revolves around a young couple who gets caught in an incident has Roshan Mathew, Anna Ben and Indrajith Sukumaran in the lead roles. The movie, scripted by Abhilash Pillai, will release in theatres on March 11.
Asif Ali and Gopika Udayan-starrer, which marked RJ Mathukutty’s debut directorial, is all set to release on ZEE5 later this month. The film, which also has Vineeth Sreenivasan, revolves around two college students who find themselves in an unexpected situation and have to tackle it together.
Girish AD’s coming-of-age tale, which had Anaswara Rajan playing the titular character of a reticent Palakkad girl who finds her voice during her college years, will release on ZEE5 on March 11. The movie also has Mamitha Baiju, Arjun Ashokan and a cameo by Antony Varghese.
Madhu Wariar’s directorial debut, which has Manju Warrier, Biju Menon, Anu Mohan, Saiju Kurup and Deepti Sati in pivotal roles, is a feel-good family entertainer, which will drop on Disney+ Hotstar in March.
Navya Nair makes her comeback in this VK Prakash directorial, which is based on true events. The film has her playing a mother who has run from pillar to post to source money for her daughter’s treatment, as people try to hoodwink her. Oruthee, which will release in theatres on March 18, also has Vinayakan in a pivotal role.
Anoop Menon’s investigative thriller, directed by Bibin Krishna, also has Mareena Michael, Anu Mohan, Renji Panicker, Leona Lishoy and Nandu. The movie, which revolves around an investigation carried by Anoop’s character of crime branch officer, is scheduled to hit theatres on March 18.
