The registrations for Season 2 of the business reality show ended on June 19.
Season 1 of Shark Tank India was judged by Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Ashneer Grover, Ghazal Alagh, Namita Thapar and Peyush Bansal. Hosted by Rannvijay Singha, the show ended earlier last year and has now been renewed for another season. Season 1 of the show helped around 200 startups to get investments worth Rs 42 crore from the sharks. Here's an overview of how much each shark invested on the show.
Aman Gupta, boAt’s co-founder and CMO, has invested in 28 startups on the show, spending around Rs 9.4 crore. The shark is known for his friendly nature and fun banter on the show.
Anupam Mittal is a friendly face on the reality show and one of the favourite sharks of the fans. The Shaadi.com founder and CEO has invested Rs 5.2 crore in 24 businesses.
The co-founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics, Vineeta Singh has invested in about 15 startup. She invested Rs 3.04 crore in total on Season 1 of the show.
The co-founder and CEO of Lenskart, Peyush Bansal has invested in about 27 startups on the show. He has invested over Rs 8.29 crore.
Bharat Pe’s former co-founder and MD, Ashneer Grover, who is known for his blunt response to the pitches on the show has bought stakes in 21 startups, investing Rs 5.38 crores.
Ghazal Alagh is the co-founder and CEO of Mama Earth. The entrepreneur appeared in fewer episodes of the show. She made seven deals on the show and invested Rs 1.2 crores.
