Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi trailer: All the important issues this Sony LIV show raises

Vaibhav Tatwawadi’s Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi trailer out

The trailer of Vaibhav Tatwawadi’s Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi is out and it is clearly inspired from true events. The show rightly raises all the questions that need to be raised and answered. Here’s looking at a few of them…,

1/5

Is lower caste ‘impure’?

Through this trailer, we see how the lower caste (people who construct roads for us to walk on and even their children) are treated differently from people who consider themselves higher caste. Till date, they are considered ‘impure’. Yes, that’s the reality and it has been highlighted in the series.

2/5

One with power sets the rules in stone, others blindly follow?

We see Nirmal Pathak, who has just come back from Mumbai, being thrown out of his own village because he tried to change the way the people think. That is exactly what people in power tend to do. They set the rules and expect people to follow them blindly. If that doesn’t happen, they replace the people. The show beautifully addresses the issue.

3/5

Trying to bring a change and failed to do so? Get ready to be mocked.

It is with Gen Z that you learn to accept people who try to be the change. However, the previous generations deal with the situation by mocking the ‘failures.’ Such an incident can be seen in Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi trailer and he is a man who tried to bring the change in a village that absolutely needs it.

4/5

Wish to fight for the right? Are you from JNU?

Yes, JNU students fight for what they feel is right and worth fighting for. However, defining every person who wants to bring a revolution in the same bracket is simply unacceptable. The trailer brings that forth too.

5/5

Be a communist before 40 and change your stance after that. No, seriously!

Vaibhav’s series raises a very serious question – about being a communist. This show has a dialogue, “If you aren’t a communist before 40, you don’t have a heart. And if you are one after 40, you don’t have brains,” which will force you to think hard about where and how you live.
