Nayanthara was born Diana Mariam Kurian
Nayanthara was born Diana Mariam Kurian on November 18, 1984, into a Malayalam Christian family. Since her father was in the Indian Air Force, the family lived in many different cities when she was young. Nayanthara converted to Hinduism in 2011 at an Arya Samaj ceremony. She went through Shuddhi Karma as per Vedas and also has a conversion certificate.
