The movie, which is in its final stages of filming, is expected to have overseas release by Disney, according to reports
Those who have worked in Mohanlal’s directorial debut Barroz: The Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure have been raving about the movie’s world-class technical quality as well as the star’s vision to see the 3D fantasy through. While fans have only got a brief glimpse of what the movie is about, a set of leaked pics from the big budget children’s fantasy found their way online on Thursday, allowing for the audience to see that world that Mohanlal and its cinematographer Santosh Sivan are creating. Here are some of the pics from the movie.

Mohanlal plays a 400-year-old 'ghost' who guards Vasco Da Gama's treasure in the film, which is a 3D chidren's fantasy, scripted by My Dear Kuttichathan director Jijo Punnoose.
In an earlier interview with us, the film's cinematographer Santosh Sivan told us, “Mohanlal likes to do things his way and that will reflect when you watch Barroz. It’s a visual film that doesn’t have a conventional story. It’s got magical realism, 3D and is VFX heavy; that’s why it needs more time and effort.”,
The leaked pics from the sets also show the get-up of Mohanlal's titular character. While the actor had intially sported a look with overgrown hair and beard, he decided to go for the tonsured get-up after the second lockdown. This has also won praise from the fans and the latest pics also show that he will sport a tattoo on his head for good measure.
Being a children's fantasy and that too a 3D film from the industry that broke new grounds in Indian cinema with My Dear Kuttichathan, people were anxious about the world of Barroz. The first stills from the film reveal an upside down world and the art team seems to have outdone themselves with the set design.
