Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar releases in theatres

Ranveer Singh’s latest film Jayeshbhai Jordaar has released in theatres. The movie is one of the most awaited films of this year, especially because of the beautiful concept this YRF film brings forth. Before this movie, Ranveer has delivered some of the biggest hits in Padmaavat and Gully Boy. Here are his most loved films, in that order…,

1/10

Padmaavat

Ranveer killed it in his role as Allaudin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. He was seen in the role of the deadly antagonist while his real-life ladylove Deepika Padukone played the female protagonist in this movie.

2/10

Gully Boy

Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy brought the rap culture in Bollywood to the forth. Ranveer was seen in the role of Murad Ahmed – a passionate boy from the slums – who was a rebel full of talent.

3/10

Bajirao Mastani

Ranveer was seen in the role of Bajirao in his second collaboration film with SLB and Deepika. Here, he played the fierce warrior to perfection and left a mark through his dialogue delivery and immense energy.

4/10

Simmba

Ranveer collaborated with the action master Rohit Shetty for his cop universe film, Simmba. The movie was Rohit’s expansion from Ajay Devgn’s Singham. Currently, Simmba and Singham were seen in Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and now, Rohit has geared up for his fourth cop universe film (actually web series) with Sidharth Malhotra. The series is titled Indian Police Force and it has been acquired by Amazon Prime Video.

5/10

83

Ranveer nailed the role of Indian skipper Kapil Dev in 83. The movie, directed by Kabir Khan, recreated Indian cricket team’s 1983 World Cup win.

6/10

Band Baaja Baaraat

Making his debut in 2010, Ranveer impressed one and all as Bittoo in Band Baaja Baaraat. He featured opposite Anushka Sharma and instantly, the two became a sensation in the industry.

7/10

Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela

Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela was the first movie where SLB-Ranveer-Deepika collaborated. Not only was this film appreciated but Ranveer and Deepika’s love also grew on the sets, which made this one the hot topic when it released.

8/10

Dil Dhadakne Do

Ranveer and Anushka stopped working in movies together after rumours of their break-up. Years later, after Ranveer worked in Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani, he collaborated with Anushka again, this time for Dil Dhadakne Do. This movie, helmed by Zoya Akhtar, was an ensemble film with Priyanka Chopra Jonas playing Ranveer’s sister, Anushka playing his lover and Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah his parents.

9/10

Gunday

Even if the movie tanked at the Box Office, Gunday became popular because of one reason – Ranveer and Arjun Kapoor’s bromance. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, this one also featured Priyanka and late Irrfan Khan in pivotal roles.

10/10

Lootera

The list of Ranveer’s most loved films would be incomplete without Lootera. This is an underrated classic that not many people recognized when it released but love it today.
