Bollywood too was not far behind when it came to celebrating their devotion to the country, with a host of celebrities taking it upon themselves to hoist the tricolour at their homes. Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan seems to be going through quite a rough patch career wise, with his new film Laal Singh Chaddha currently witnessing a lacklustre run at the box office. But despite the snags in his professional life, the actor made sure to celebrate Independence Day in style, hoisting the national flag at his residence ahead of Monday.

Rajkummar Rao
Rajkummar Rao too joined celebrities in paying tribute to the country’s tale of independence, by hoisting the tricolour at his home. Sharing the photograph on his Instagram handle, Rao wrote “To 75 years of Freedom, Strength and Success as a Nation. Let’s do our bit and raise the national flag high”.

Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan’s family joined the star in celebrating Independence Day it seemed. Khan shared a video where he, his wife Gauri and sons Aaryan and Abram can be seen hoisting the flag at their home. Khan also wrote a wonderful caption as well, which read “Teaching the young ones at home the essence and sacrifice of our Freedom Fighters for our country India, will still take a few more sittings. But getting the flag hoisted by the little one made us all FEEL the pride, love and happiness instantly”.

Salman Khan too joined B Town in the celebrations. Paps spotted the tricolour flying high at Khan’s Galaxy apartments. The Tiger actor also took to his official Instagram to wish his fans on this historic day. Sharing a photo of him waving the national flag, Khan captioned it “Wishing everyone a very happy 75th Independence Day.. Jai Hind”.

R Madhavan is currently riding the wave of appreciation that came his way for his stellar acting, direction and writing for his film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
