Krishna passes away at 79

Krishna's untimely demise, on Tuesday, has certainly left a huge void in the Telugu film industry that is hard to be filled. The premises of Padamalaya Studios, Hyderabad wore a dejected look as the industry bid a teary farewell to the star. He was given a state funeral by the Telangana government before the final rites were performed.

RB Chowdary, who was recently in the news for Chiranjeevi's Godfather and renowned producer Allu Aravind, known for backing several hit films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi over the years, pay their final respects to Krishna.,

Ali, Kota Srinivasa Rao

Kota, who was seen recently in Konda Polam and was a regular feature in Krishna's films in the late 80s and 90s and Ali (along with his brother Khayyum) arrive at the venue to have their last glimpse of the superstar.

Actor Manchu Manoj, whose father Mohan Babu shared a close association with Krishna (acting in over a 100 films with him), offers a final salute to Krishna at Padmalaya Studios.

AP CM Jagan, Telangana governor Tamilisai Sounderrajan and Roja

Noted political figures from the Telugu states, AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy, Telangana governor Tamilisai and actress Roja were with the Ghattamaneni family at the studio and offered their condolences over Krishna's death.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and family

Star, politician Balakrishna, his wife Vasundhara Devi and daughter Nara Brahmani rushed to Padmalaya Studios to pay homage to the star. Balakrishna's father NTR and Krishna had a long-lasting association in cinema for over two decades.

Jayaprada

Jayaprada, who acted in over a dozen films with Krishna, is inconsolable while catching a final glimpse of the star at the Padamalaya Studios. Some of their hit films are Ooriki Monagadu, Mundadugu and Agent Gopi, to name a few.

We miss you Superstar!

Krishna, not only was an actor in over 350 films, but also had produced, directed and established a revered studio like Padmalaya. More than his achievements, he's remembered for his elephantine memory, generosity for his industry counterparts, simplicity and his heartfelt smile. There can be none like him.
