Birthday boy Kunal Kapoor turns 45 today

Kunal Kapoor was born on October 18, 1977, in Mumbai, to Kishore Kapoor and Kanan. His father was in the construction business and his mother, a singer and homemaker. The family hails from Amritsar and Kunal is the youngest of three siblings, after Geeta and Reshma.
Kunal did his schooling at St. Francis De Sales School, Mumbai and later went on to pursue Hotel Management at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Nutrition, Chandigarh.
Kunal first trained under Barry John and joined actor Naseeruddin Shah’s theatre group, Motley. He kick started his career as an assistant director on the film Aks, which featured Manoj Bajpayee.
Kunal made his big-screen acting debut in the highly-anticipated and talked about 2004 acclaimed artist M.F.Hussain’s directorial, Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities. He was paired with Tabu in the film.
The actor landed his breakthrough role with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 2006 hit Rang De Basanti. Kunal was one of the lead actors, along with Aamir Khan. His performance saw him getting nominated for Filmfare Awards Best Supporting Actor for the year.
