Kareena Kapoor Khan was born on 21 September 1980 in Bombay to Randhir Kapoor and Babita. Kareena hails from a film background, with her great-grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor making his entry into the world of cinema with the 1928 film Do Dhari Talwar. She has an elder sister named Karisma Kapoor who is also a Bollywood actor. Her father Randhir Kapoor is also an actor who made his debut with the 1971 movie Kal Aaj Aur Kal,
Kareena’s father is the brother of late actor Rishi Kapoor which makes Neetu Kapoor her aunt and actor Ranbir Kapoor her cousin.
