Dulquer picked The Family Man creators Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s upcoming crime-thriller series Guns and Gulaabs to make his OTT debut. The upcoming Netflix series, which also has Rajkummar Rao, Adarsh Gourav and Satish Kaushik, is a blend of 90s romance and crime.
While Prithviraj had earlier announced that discussions were ongoing with a leading platform for a web series based on his directorial debut Lucifer, the actor is set to make his OTT show debut with a series based on Rajan Pillai, known as India’s biscuit baron. He is attached to act and direct the show.
The actor made his web series debut in 2019 along with Neeraj Madhav in The Family Man. This has also opened doors for more projects. He has now completed shooting for Raja Krishna Menon’s social satire Baba Black Sheep, which has Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta, and is set to air on Amazon Prime Video. Dinesh is also part of Farhan Akhtar’s production Dongri to Dubai, which has Kay Kay Menon and Avinash Tiwary in the lead.
The actress, who was recently seen in Sony LIV releases Madhuram and Kaanekkaane, had confirmed to us that she along with her husband and director Francis Thomas is scripting a Telugu web series. The duo had earlier written Sudha Kongara’s segment Ilamai Idho Idho from the Amazon Prime Video anthology Putham Pudhu Kaalai.
Lal, who in recent years have ventured in Tamil and Telugu acting in movies such as Dhanush’s Karnan and Prabhas’ Saaho, has reportedly signed a Netflix web series, produced MacGuffin Pictures that had backed Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s 2020 direct-to-OTT film, Raat Akeli Hai.
The Mollywood actor, who had starred in Udalazham, caught the attention of many viewers through his standout performance as Eketi, a member of a tribe from Andaman who barely speaks Hindi, in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s The Great Indian Murder, which is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
Lena, who made her Bollywood debut with Airlift, is also currently busy with the shoot of her web series debut. While sources say she plays a pivotal role in the series, more details about her role and its release platform are yet to be unveiled.
