Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani have stepped into the shoes of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan from Bhool Bhulaiyaa, for the sequel of the film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Kiara Advani, who plays the female lead of Reet Thakur, was reportedly paid Rs. 2 crores. She tries to reprise Vidya Balan’s Monjulika in the sequel.

Vidya Balan’s salary for the movie in 2007
There is no confirmation on how much Vidya Balan was paid in 2007. However, the actress had spoken about pay disparity (which is visible even now). Thus, it is safe to assume she was paid as much as Kiara for the film, if not lesser. In 2022, she reportedly charges Rs. 12 crores per project, which is still lesser than what Akshay took back in 2007.
