Kabir Singh

The Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed 2019 released film is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy featuring Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles. It depicts the story of two medical students who fall in love but go through a crisis after their families oppose their relationship owing to the couple’s caste difference. Though the film was highly criticized for its misogynistic portrayal of the protagonist’s character, it still was a box office hit. It is available on Netflix to watch.

Baaghi 2

Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani-starrer Baaghi 2 is a remake of the Telugu action film Kshanam (2016) directed by Ravikanth Perepu. The original movie featured Adivi Sesh and Adah Sharma in lead roles. It follows an army man Ranveer Pratap Singh (Tiger Shroff) who is on a journey to find his ex-girlfriend, Neha’s daughter, Riya. The action thriller is available on Disney+Hotstar.

Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam, directed by Nishikant Kamat, is a remake of the original Malayalam film of the same name directed by Jeethu Joseph, starring Mohanlal in the lead. The film deals with a crime involving Vijay Salgaonkar’s (Devgn) family and the missing case of IG Meera Deshmukh’s (Tabu) son. The suspense thriller is available on Disney+Hotstar and Netflix.
