Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami's film directed by Nandita Das.
The movie Zwigato, starring Shahana Goswami and Kapil Sharma, continued to perform poorly on Saturday even though it saw a slight increase from its meagre 43 lakhs debut. After two days of release, the poignant drama helmed by actor-director Nandita Das has earned 1.05 crore. The story centres on a food delivery man and the challenges he faces working in the gig economy.
Following Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Firangi, Zwigato is Kapil Sharma's third film. Even though the movie has Kapil in a very different character and has made headlines as a result, the box office results haven't been great. The movie showed a modest increase, collecting Rs 0.65 crore on day two after earning Rs 0.42 crore on day one (early estimates). With that, the movie has made little over Rs 1.05 crore in its first two days.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Rani Mukerji starrer Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway, are currently playing in theatres and competing at the box office . Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, and Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, both performed admirably.
Zwigato was originally intended to be a 20-minute short film, but Nandita Das later chose to turn it into a feature film due to its intriguing subject matter. The movie was shown at the Busan International Film Festival, the International Film Festival of Kerala, and the Toronto International Film Festival.
