Veteran actress Zeenat Aman has been the talk of the town since she joined popular social media site Instagram earlier this year. The diva regularly posts throwback pictures from the 80s, revealing anecdotes about her then-co-stars such as Amitabh Bachchan and Dev Anand, among others. The actress recently posted two throwback pictures with her Jagir co-star Dharmendra, showcasing the gender role reversal in their song Sare Bazar Karenge Pyaar.

Taking to Instagram, Zeenat posted a picture of their popular song Sare Bazar Karenge Pyaar from the 1981 film Katilon Ke Kaatil. As shown in the pictures, the song featured Zeenat with a moustache and a cowboy costume, while Dharmendra wore a white dress, playing the role of a woman. Talking about the picture, she captioned it, saying, "I posted this image first because I think people should have the right to dress as they please without being threatened or assaulted. Perhaps the picturization of the song was meant to be comical, but its message is clear."

For the second picture, Zeenat shared a monochrome still of their song Naya Naya Hota Hai from their film Jagir. In the picture, Zeenat is dressed in a silver jumpsuit with chunky earrings, while Dharmendra is wearing an all-black leather look with a classy hairdo and a moustache. She captioned this post with, "The song is called Naya Naya Hota Hain Purana Purana which could be quite a good heading for an essay about my Instagram debut!"

Talking about Dharmendra in her caption, the actress said, "Of the many actors I had the privilege of being a costar to, Dharm ji was a favourite. Yes, he was strikingly handsome, but more importantly, he was a down-to-earth gentleman. There were no pretences or airs about him, and that made me feel most comfortable on set."

The actress also revealed an anecdote from the sets of Shalimar, in which Zeenat and Dharmendra starred together. She said, "This film was simultaneously shot in English and Hindi to cater to both audiences. Well, Dharm ji required assistance with his English dialogues, and I required help with my Hindi. And so, post the daily shoot, you would find each of us with our respective tutors, studiously running our lines for hours!"

Dharmendra and Zeenat starred together in a number of films, such as Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973), Dharam-Veer (1977), Shalimar (1978), Ram Balram (1980), and Jagir (1984), among others.

Dharmendra was recently seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, alongside Shabana Azmi. The film also features Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. The film has crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark at the box office.
