ZEE5's Telugu show Maya Bazaar, produced by Rana Daggubati, takes off with a pooja ceremony

ZEE5 is continuing to bet big on regional content and is aggressively launching one Telugu original after the other with great gusto and enthusiasm. The latest addition to their ever-growing list of Telugu shows is Maya Bazaar. The web series was formally launched today. Gauthami Challagulla, writer for shows like Posh Poris, Social and Mana Mugguri Love Story, is turning a director with the project. Veteran filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao graced its opening ceremony in Hyderabad.

Baahubali, Virata Parvam actor Rana Daggubati will be bankrolling the show under Spirit Media pvt. Ltd. The director Gauthami and Rana had earlier worked together for Viu's show Social as well. The show has an ensemble cast comprising senior actor Naresh Vijaya Krishna, Jhansi, Eesha Rebba, Aditi Myakal, Ravi Varma, Hariteja, Navdeep, Raja Chembolu, Sunaina Badam, Harika Vedula and others to name a few.

Announcing the launch, ZEE5, on its social media handle, wrote, "Happy faces at the puja ceremony of #MayaBazaar. Get ready to enter the Gated Community of MAYA BAZAAR!! An entry into dream home reality vs dreams!"Maya Bazaar is a show set amidst a premium gated community villa, how it's built on a foundation of lies. The series focuses on the harsh realities that its property owners must encounter after a tragedy. What's in store for them?

Naveen Yadav is the cinematographer of the show while Jerry Silvester has been roped in to compose the music. Urmez is the art director. The other actors in the show include Tarun, Ravi Raj, Meiyang Chang and Vamsidhar Goud. Senior producer Suresh Daggubati was also part of the launch event. The show is expected to premiere on ZEE5 in the later half of the year. ZEE5's last major Telugu release was the corporate drama Hello World, headlined by Aryan Rajesh, Sadaa and directed by Sivasai Vardhan.
