In spite of having ended over a decade ago, Friends continues to entertain audiences to this day as loyal fans still find comfort in the daily antics of the gang trying to figure life out in New York City. The same fans have almost gotten a new lease on life with the announcement of the upcoming Friends : The Reunion episode that is all set to stream on HBO Max on May 27. With ZEE5 announcing its plans to stream the episode for Indian fans on the same day, the excitement has mounted more than ever.

The hour-long episode will be an unscripted show where the original cast members will revisit the set of Stage 24, recall fond memories from the show and play fun games that are sure to make fans laugh. HBO has consistently stressed that the episode is not a continuation of the original series and is a standalone special.,

Though Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer will not be reprising their roles from the show, the six will be reenacting some of their most popular scenes and dialogues. Additionally, the episode will also feature guest stars.,,

What does the trailer tell us?

In the trailer, we get a glimpse of the gang sitting in the old apartment of Monica, playing the same game that led to Rachel losing the apartment to Joey and Chandler in The One with the Embryos. This can tell us about the possibility of the cast putting a modern spin on their classic scenes and answering trivia about the show.

It is also seen that they all agree to the fact that Rachel and Ross were indeed on a break, except LeBlanc, contrary to what Joey would say. As the six actors tearfully peruse through the set, it is revealed that Cox used to write her lines on Monica’s kitchen table. One shot from the trailer shows the cast reading an old scene from The One Where Everyone Finds Out. Kudrow absolutely nails her iconic dialogue from the episode where Phoebe finds Chandler and Monica together for the first time - One Where Everybody Finds Out.

The trailer also shows a glimpse of James Corden hosting a segment of the episode in front of the memorable water fountain, where the cast watches a Friends themed fashion show.
