The first look of Sivakarthikeyan's much-awaited film, Don was released recently. Later, a few stills from the movie, featuring its female lead Priyanka Mohan, antagonist SJ Suryah, Balasaravanan, Sivaangi and RJ Vijay, were also unveiled by its makers. The film was in the news a few days prior to it when the news of Siva dubbing for the project and a picture from the studio went viral.

There was also news of the movie likely to hit the screens around Republic Day. However, Vishal-starrer Veeramae Vaagai Soodum has already announced its release date on January 26 a few days ago. With Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan arriving on February 4, fans of Siva and other film lovers have their fingers crossed with regard to Don's release.

Meanwhile, it is heard that Zee5 and Zee Tamil have bagged the movie's digital rights and satellite rights respectively. The film might have its OTT premiere after almost a month of its theatrical release. Sivakarthikeyan's last outing, Doctor started premiering on Netflix after more than three weeks of its release.

Anirudh scores music for the film; Don marks the second continuous collaboration of the music director and Siva after Doctor. Interestingly, Priyanka, too, is joining hands again with Siva after Doctor.

Samuthirakani, Munishkanth and Soori among others have also essayed pivotal roles in the film which has MK Bhaskaran cranking the camera and Nagooran handling editing. The stunt choreography is monitored by Vicky while Brindha, Shoby and Sandy have composed dance moves.

Don has been bankrolled by Siva's production house Sivakarthikeyan Productions, along with Lyca Productions. Billed as a campus thriller, a lion's share of the movie has been shot in a college in Coimbatore.
