Helmed by Bangladeshi-Australian filmmaker Zayed Rizwan, the Bengali web series Aghaat will release on the Indian streaming platform Watcho on September 20.
The series has been shot in Australia but features a cast of actors from Bangladesh and India. Bangladeshi actor Irfan Sajjad is on the cast along with Bipasha Kabir and Deepali Akhter Tania and Indian actor Ranojoy Bishnu. Nadim Accari, Saifullah Sadi, and Shaheen Shehnawaz have joined the cast too.
Aghaat marks the web series debut of Irfan Sajjad. He will be playing the role of an IT expert who encounters religious discrimination and prejudice. Ranojoy, on the other hand, will be seen in the role of a special unit officer in the film and Dipali will essay the role of a psychologist.

Tahsan Shuvo has penned the script for the series. Kishore Das has composed the title track and done the background score. The songs feature Pantho Kanai, Raj Barman, Parvez, and Nancy. Mia Tarek and Shaon Arijit have produced the series.
Speaking about the cast, the director Zayed Rizwan told the Daily Star that the actors have performed ‘brilliantly’, and a second season is in the talks already. "We hope to finalise the budget soon, which is going to be bigger than the first season," he added.

On the work front, Zayed Rezwan's Ayotti will also be released next month on the Indian OTT platform Gemplex.
