Zack Snyder shares Army of Thieves poster starring Matthias Schweighöfer

A prequel to Snyder’s Army of the Dead, the movie will be released on Netflix,

Zack Snyder released a new poster for his upcoming movie Army of Thieves a prequel to Army of the Dead. The poster features fan-favourite safecracker Dieter played by Matthias Schweighöfer.

Army of the Dead came out in May 2021 on Netflix. The zombie heist movie came with the Zack Snyder seal of action and gore and was accepted by the audience. Many of the characters in the movie like Vanderhoe played by Omari Hardwick and Marianne Peters played by Tig Notaro became fan favourites. The same happened with Ludwig Dieter, the quirky German safecracker.

Co-produced by Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Matthias Schweighöfer and Wesley Coller, the movie will be a standalone romantic comedy heist movie also directed by Matthias Schweighöfer.

Zack Snyder's production company, The Stone Quarry Productions have struck a two year deal with Netflix, which will see his content making its way into the streaming platform, and Army of Thieves will do the same.

The movie also stars Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Stuart Martin, Jonathan Cohen, Ruby O. Fee and Noemie Nakai.

Zack Snyder shared the new poster to remind fans that Army of the Dead will have a panel during the Comic-Con, which will be held virtually for the second year in a row. More information about an exact release date for Army of Thieves and Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas an upcoming animated prequel series, could be available after the panel.

Snyder has been involved in a lot of conversation after Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released in HBO Max to a positive response. The uncut version of the movie is considered an improvement over the theatrical version.
