Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja's wife Zafroon Nisa has issued a statement on her Instagram page, slamming those who are expressing support for the Insrel regime in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Earlier this week, Israel declared a state of war following the multi-pronged attack by Hamas terrorists, coinciding with the Jewish Sabbath and a religious holiday.

Yuvan Shankar Raja's wife Zafroon Nisa expressed her solidarity with people of Palestinian, while slamming individuals in India, who were supporting the Israeli's retaliatory attacks in Gaza.

Zafroon Nisa's comments seem to suggest that some supporters of Israel may lack a comprehensive understanding of the intricate nature of the conflict. And she also went on to explain the religious commonalities and the differences among the Jews, the Muslims and the Christians.

Indian government stands by Israel

The Indian government has extended its unwavering support to the right of Israel to defend itself. "I thank Prime Minister @netanyahu for his phone call and providing an update on the ongoing situation. People of India stand firmly with Israel in this difficult hour. India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations," Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted recently.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is one of the leading composers in Tamil cinema. Yuvan, the son of music great Ilaiyaraaja, converted to Islam in 2014 and married Zafroon Nisa in 2015.
