The psychological thriller, directed by Selvaraghavan, has Dhanush playing dual roles
The team of Dhanush's upcoming film Naane Varuven is busy with the post production work of the film. The film's director Selvaraghavan recently shared a picture from composer Yuvan Shankar Raja's recording studio. While Yuvan is seen completely engrossed in his work, Selvaraghavan is seen posing for the picture. He captioned it, "#NaaneVaruven #albumfinalwork @thisisysr @theVcreations (sic)."
The team had recently shared a new poster from the film, on the occasion of Dhanush's birthday (July 28). In the poster, Dhanush is seen holding a bow and a quiver full of arrows and standing atop a boulder amid the wilderness. Selvaraghavan had captioned the picture, "A special birthday for a special person. Happy birthday in advance my dear brother @dhanushkraja @theVcreations @thisisysr @omdop @RVijaimurugan @saregamasouth #NaaneVaruven (sic)." Now, the buzz among fans is that the first single will be out soon.
The film is said to be a psychological thriller and Dhanush will be playing dual roles in it. Selvaraghavan and Dhanush are coming together for a film after a span of 11 years. The last time they had worked together was in Mayakkam Enna (2011), in which Dhanush played a photographer. Richa Gangopadhyay played the leading lady in the film. The reunion of the brother duo has piqued the curiosity among the audience and raised their expectations. Selvaraghavan will also be seen in a pivotal role in the film.
The film also marks the comeback of Yuvan Shankar Raja in a Selvaraghavan project. The star cast includes Prabhu, Indhuja, Yogi Babu, Shelly Kishore and Elli AvrRam.Om Prakash is handling the cinematography and RK Vijai Murugan is handling the art direction. Prasanna GK is in charge of the editing. Naane Varuven is expected to hit screens in September and the satellite rights of the film have been sold to Sun TV.
