Yuva release - Paid premieres, EMS for Yuva Rajkumar’s big debut?
Yuva Rajkumar's big launchpad will be in theatres on March 29

Yuva, the much-awaited debut vehicle of Yuva Rajkumar, the latest member from the Rajkumar, is set to be in theatres on March 29. Pushed ahead from its earlier release date December 22, to accommodate Salaar Ceasefire on that day instead, Yuva is expected to hit theatres amid much fanfare. In fact, fans of the debutant and the Rajkumar family, especially of the late Puneeth Rajkumar, are hoping that the grand release will include multiple paid premieres across the state, or a few fan shows at midnight or early in the morning on release day.

Well, as of now, it seems that fans are going to be disappointed on that front. Speaking to the media ahead of the release of Yuva, director Santhosh Anannddram stated that a release on March 28, even with (paid) premieres is ruled out, a decision that was taken by the production house, Hombale Films. In fact, as of now, there’s been no final word on early morning shows on March 29 either, with the earliest that the film is expected in theatres said to be 8 am.

Yuva, the team said, will release in Kannada only, with a 300-350 centre release. Dubbing in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi is currently on, with these versions to be ready for the film’s eventual OTT outing. The film has been sold to Amazon Prime Video for its post-theatrical digital streaming.

With Yuva just over a week away from its theatrical outing, the team is prepping to give audiences a glimpse into what expect. Santhosh has spoken about the film being mostly a tale about the dynamics between a father and son, played by Achyuth Kumar and Yuva. Although an official synopsis describes the film as a campus flick set in an Engineering college, Santhosh explains that it is only a part of the story. Yuva, he says, begins with the protagonist in his last semester in college, and the differences he then has with his father about the direction his life should take.

Yuva Rajkumar is paired with Sapthami Gowda in the film, while Kishore plays a sports coach. The film has music by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by Shreesha Kudavalli. The trailer of Yuva will be out on March 21 at 1.01 pm.
