Yudhra: Malavika Mohanan opens up about her 'awkward' intimate scene with Siddhant Chaturvedi; 'Everything was so uncomfortable...'

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan's Yudhra hit the theaters recently. The film has been receiving underwhelming responses from the audiences as well as critics.

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan starrer Yudhra was one of the much-awaited films of 2024. However, the film underperformed at the box office. In a new interview, Malavika opened up about her intimate scene with Siddhant in the film and added that on-screen glamor is unglamorous when in the making.

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Yudhra actress Malavika Mohanan shared her experience shooting intimate scenes with her co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi.

The actress said that intimate scenes are more awkward. She added, "When you are shooting for a song, it's more technical and you are freezing in the cold. The sand was so uncomfortable. Everything was so uncomfortable so the last thing on my mind was intimacy. Toh aap intimacy ke bare mein such re hi nahi ho, aap baki elements ke bare me such rahe ho ki jaise hi to cut bolenge, I need my blanket."

She also mentioned that what looks glamorous on-screen is quite unglamorous in the making.

Malavika Mohanan on slap scene with Siddhant Chaturvedi

Talking about the slap scene with Siddhant in the film, Malavika said that there were multiple takes since she wanted the shot to look real on-screen.

The actress shared that the director didn't want to cheat the angle and she didn't want to slap him. So the worst thing was that she felt bad that Siddhant was slapped.

"After 2 minutes, when I looked at him, he was sitting with an ice pack. I like Siddhant voh nahi hai jispe mujhe khunnas nikalni hai," she added. (He is not a person I am angry with).

Plot of Yudhra

Yudhra revolves around Siddhant Chaturvedi, who plays a man struggling with anger issues. He is determined to destroy a powerful drug mafia, played by Raghav Juyal. Although Siddhant's goal is to fight for justice, his methods may land him in trouble. Meanwhile, Malavika Mohanan plays his love interest.

The cast of the film stars Siddhant, Raghav Juyal, Malavika, Gajraj Rao, Shireesh Sharma, Ram Kapoor, Sneha Balpande, Jay Parashar, Raj Arjun, Shilpa Shukla, Parul Rana, among others.

Meanwhile, Yudhra is directed by Ravi Udyawar and is written by Farhan Akhtar, Akshat Ghildial, and Shridhar Raghavan. It is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner Excel Entertainment.
